First Challenge Coin in the Field!

By July 24, 2011Comms

Back in April, I did a blog post on military challenge coins, and how I had some created for the Supernatural Operations Corps (SOC), the fictional military unit around which my upcoming SHADOW OPS series revolves. I had long planned to do challenge coin exchanges with deployed military personnel around the world, as is traditional with coin holders.

I’m pleased to announce that I’ve got my first photo of a SOC coin in the wild. Above is a shot of my buddy Chris with Deployable Forces JTF GTMO. It’s hard to tell in the photo, but that’s a SOC challenge coin he’s holding! I’m proud to have Chris as the first uniformed military personnel with one of these coins, and hope to have many more to show you in the future. Thanks Chris for all you’re doing for your country. The SOC motto is Our Gifts, for Our Nation, and it’s a pleasure to see you putting yours to work.

If you’re in the military or law enforcement, or any challenge coin bearing organization, please keep this in mind: Your coin gets mine. Just shoot me a message and let me know how to get in touch with you, and I’ll gladly send you a coin to exchange. If you’ll send me a shot of you holding the coin, it goes on the blog. Looking forward to seeing how many I can get!
